The Canadian singer is set to perform at the Olympics Opening Ceremony and we look back at her high-octane outfits
eline Dion fans (that’s everybody, surely) have something to pop in their diaries, the Canadian powerhouse singer is set to make a comeback appearance at the Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris. It will be her first performance since she retreated from the spotlight in 2023 after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.
While details on her Parisian performance are being kept under wraps, we do know that she is currently in the French capital, at the very fancy Royal Monceau Hotel, who also counts Lady Gaga (believed to be singing at the ceremony too) as one of their guests.
Her first port of call in Paris was to pop to The Louvre and get some cute snaps for her Instagram (we would do the same), with the caption, “Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back!”
The My Heart Will Go On singer was made famous by her incredible singing voice, but it’s also fair to say that she’s had a pretty successful sideline playing fashion icon. Looking back on her red carpet choices, it’s clear that she has always loved taking risks and her event looks feel consistently ahead of their time.
She adores a razzle-dazzle approach and is a fan of a rhinestone and a high-split. Ultimately, she seems to be having lots of fun every time she raids her wardrobe. And isn’t that what fashion should be all about?
